Our Facilities

Experience work-based roles in fully accessible spaces

Based in a fully-adapted series of buildings and workshops that make up Harlor House, we have spent the past year getting Harlor House ready for the needs of our members. That means we have carefully designed workshops, meeting and teaching spaces, an IT suite, a kitchen, accessible toilets and break out areas.

The My Life Works site is entirely accessible with specialist healthcare support staff and facilities, including a Changing Places suite.

My Life is also fortunate to have its own farm and Equestrian Centre off Pepper Lane in Standish, which some My Life Works members may use for specific programmes or interests.

Real-life working

As well as offering experience in work-based settings, we also have access to café and residential chalet facilities, which provide learning in hospitality and catering, both front and back of house, providing opportunities for members to experience real-world settings. We also work with local businesses to suggest and in some cases support off-site work-experience.
